I adore that poem, Karen. Thank you for setting it in front of me today. I needed to see it right now, as some poems for a project are feeling too prosey. :>)
I was so caught up in the words and image that I actually missed the rhyme until the third read. Ummm... Perhaps my lack of experience with snow also made me read carefully.
