Lissa recently had an excellent post about organ donation. She was inspired to bring it up by Moreena, who is indeed an inspiring mom. Both moms remind us that we can go to Shareyourlife.org to get details, state by state, on organ donation. And Lissa reminds us that her Jane is here today thanks to blood donors.
Ever sensible, Lissa points Catholics to the Church's teachings on the matter (scroll down to paragraph 2296), reminding us that organ donation is morally acceptable.
Both of these moms have lived, or are living, with this need. Let's pay attention to their wisdom and compassion. It's too easy to let it go as something that is "someone else's problem." It's about life. That makes it everyone's problem, and everyone's right.
