I'm a writer of books, essays, articles, poems,
and grocery lists that I hand to my husband
(because he does all the shopping and most of the cooking).
I used to be a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom.
The years I spent with my daughters in our relaxed homeschool
were some of the happiest years ever.
Picture books! Chapter books! Read-alouds!
Poetry! Art! Drama!
It all made us happy, happy, happy.
(We were also forced to do math, but we don't talk about that.)
