Poetry Friday: Some Glad Morning

Speaks for itself.

Some Glad Morning

came back to the branches,
settling like leafy birds
on the highest twigs;
the ground broke open
as dark as coffee beans.

We all need a glad morning. Spring is "old". Interesting take on it.

Karen, This is so lovely. There is something so comforting about the cycles of nature when the world is crazy wrong. Thank you!

Brenda, yes, I love the description of something ancient happening anew, unfolding again and again.

Carol, yes, I had that same thought. Thanks for stopping by!
