This five-line poem feels right on so many levels, after the last few days, when we are all feeling so grateful for safety, reconnection, and each other.
And I wonder how much love will be written into a poem about cell phones? This is beautiful, Karen, takes me back to talks with my boyfriend (later husband).
Thank you for introducing me to a beautiful new poem today, Karen. It gives just the right hug after what you've been through this week. Glad to hear you're safe.
Carol, yes, it captured the feeling when I heard from my daughter that day, and Linda, it also took me back to breathless phone calls with my now-husband, too. :)
And Michelle, love that -- "gives just the right hug." Indeed! Thanks so much.

It's amazing how much some people can put in 5 lines, isn't it! Thanks for sharing it, Karen.
Yes, it packs a punch in just a few lines.
This poem ought to have a subtitle, "A Poem for Mothers." It perfectly captures how I have felt as a mom waiting to hear from my sons.
