Last night Ramona and I were reading Eating the Alphabet: Fruits & Vegetables from A to Z by Lois Ehlert. When we got to K, Ramona said, "Oh! I always thought a kumquat was a type of monkey! Apparently, it's a fruit or vegetable."
You just never know what you'll learn when you're a reader.

I think kumquat is a great name for a monkey type. I think Ramona should do an illustration of her version of kumquat, and you could share it with us all. :) Or, she could write a description of what this kumquat would look like, how it would behave, etc., if she's not up to being an illustrator.
