Quotes for a Wednesday: Fear and trials

The other day I mentioned the ways in which God's glory and earthly messiness are always intertwined for us.

Today I just want to share a couple of quotes about fear and trials:

Then, after an awful pause, the deep voice said, "Susan." Susan made no answer, but the others thought she was crying. "You have listened to fears, child," said Aslan. "Come, let me breathe on you. Forget them. Are you brave again?"

~~ C.S. Lewis, Prince Caspian

Everything comes from love, all is ordained for the salvation of man, God does nothing without this goal in mind.

~~ St. Catherine of Siena
