Resources for Pope Benedict XVI's visit

*The USCCB's Christ Our Hope site

We won't get to be there, of course, but I'd say that the Mass to be held here on April 20 might just be the Mass of Atticus's life, combining two of his great loves.

Their teaching resources are here. (Do I see a detour and a mini-unit study in our immediate future?)

*OSV's papal visit page is here. They've nicely rounded up a number of related sites and blogs here.

And, OSV's own live blogging will happen here.

* National Catholic Register's Pope 2008.com is here.

UNIT STUDY! I'm with you Karen! I've been so long in mourning JPII I've never taught the children much about Pope Benedict.

For all of you homeschooling moms, The NCEA (National Catholic Education Association) is sponsoring a birthday gift for the Holy Father. They are collecting service hours from classes and individuals to be presented to him next week. The commitment form is on the NCEA website, but the due date is tomorrow (Friday) to commit.Service hours do not have to be completed until May 31.

My {e}'s teacher will be at Yankee Stadium. HOW TOTALLY AMAZING that would be.

My husband is a huge baseball fan (although METS) ... I am the NY Yankee girl.
