... I'll overlook it because she's so unspeakably cute.
"Technically, Mommy," Ramona said, "I'm practically nine."
"Really?" I asked. "How do you figure?"
"Well," she said, "I'm five, right?"
"Yes."
"Okay. So ... five, then there's six, seven, eight and then there's nine. So, technically, I'm almost nine."
I nodded. "You know, you're right. Technically, nine will be here before we know it."
And technically, I'll look back and wonder how it arrived with just the blink of an eye.
