The benefits of modeling proper grammar and usage

Yesterday, Ramona asked me, "Mommy, would you stick my milk cup in the fridge?"

"Sure," I replied. As I placed it on a shelf, she said, "No, I mean literally stick it in the fridge! Put glue on it!" And then she laughed a preschooler's version of a maniacal laugh.

Yes, I do sometimes have to remind myself that she's only three.

On the other hand, and just to balance out the picture for you, she also regularly tells truly bad knock-knock jokes that only a three-year-old could find funny.

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Me.
Me who?
Me! It's me! Isn't that funny?

Well, no, of course it's not really funny in the least, but everything else she says makes up for it. And, lest all my Ramona posts should sound like bragging, I hasten to add that this child, last week, perfected the art of the tantrum in a way I've never before seen. She's a child of passions and extremes, that much is certain. But we're a family who likes such things, so our dear Ramona is right at home here.

I love this type of child. We have one in our home and he makes life so lovely and exasperating at the same time. What a dull life it would be without the passionate ones!

kinda liked what you have written . it just is not that easy to discover great stuff to read (you know really READ and not simply going through it like a zombie before going to yet another post to just ignore), so cheers man for really not wasting my time on the god forsaken internet. :)
