Karen, We finally got our copy of The Penderwicks from the library - been on hold for what seems like forever! We read the first chapter only this morning and no one wanted me to stop. Like the Penderwicks there are four girls here and I could see the looks going back and forth between the two older ones comparing each other to Rosalind and Skye. And we had to put the book down to laugh at the barf scene! I think we're going to enjoy this one, too. Have you finished it up yet? Are your girls still playing Penderwicks?
Yes, we've finished it, and yes, they're still playing Penderwicks. We also had fun drawing some comparisons between these four and the March girls, so we just started on a re-read of Little Women. :-)
We, too, laughed out loud when I read, "There's the map"!
