The preface:
Do they still do those silly things in high school, such as "Most Likely to Succeed" and "Best Dressed"? They did them when I was in high school, and in my senior year I came in second in the "Most Witty" category. I was stunned because a.) I didn't think anyone in my large high school actually knew who I was and b.) If that many people did know me, why didn't I win and isn't it suspicious that the yearbook editor who was in charge of counting the votes came in first? (Of course, I harbor no bitter feelings. I'm merely being almost-witty.)
Fast Forward:
My kids, after hearing this story, love to work it into conversations in various ways, always at my expense.
Current Ramona story:
The other day, the cat was batting something around and when I checked on what it was, I said, "Oh, it's nothing. Just Mr. Potato Head's tongue."
"Cat got your tongue?" Ramona immediately quipped.
I laughed and said, "That's funny -- I should've thought of that!"
"Well," she replied dryly, "you are only the second wittiest."

Tanita, they're *all* leaving me behind in the dust! But, they keep me laughing. :)
