Lots of locks of love

Since I currently have a daughter who's growing her hair out in order to donate it to Locks of Love, I was interested in Book Bud's review of two books on that very topic.

Like Anne, I think one of the books -- Melissa Parkington's Beautiful, Beautiful Hair, by Pat Brisson -- looks far more appealing than the other. (I don't want to unfairly judge, as I haven't read either one, but as far as their messages go, I'll take the more altruistic version.)

Hair donation seems to be going around, and my daughter may be the last one in our group of friends to jump on the bandwagon. But it's a worthwhile and admirable bandwagon, and one trend I don't mind them following.

Waving hands wildly here! Tell your daughter THANK YOU from my daughter, who has alopecia and may some day get donated hair - from her sister! (who is growing it out to do the same thing)

I just donated myself a couple of weeks ago, and Abby donated last year. My sister had donated before she died, and so has my niece. Of course I now have shorter hair than I have in years..., but hey it will grow.

The THANK YOU has been passed on, Amy, and how cool that your daughter will donate hair to her own sister!

Liz, I didn't know you had donated! Cool.
