And she's tired. And you know how it is when you're tired. What might, on an ordinary day, be just a minor annoyance can become downright tragical. And so, when Ramona bumped her head on the desk, immediately after finding out that Betsy did not want to play "Winn Dixie" (I'm not sure which of them would have been assigned the part of the dog) it was suddenly, overwhelmingly, too much.
As the tears welled up, she said, "Oh, no! Now here's something else I have to cry about!"
