Earlier this week, KC of the Cabbage Patch lopped off her locks, too, and looks beautiful.
And, remember way back when I first mentioned that Betsy wanted to do this? Minnesota Mom was busy cutting that month, and posted her great before-and-after pictures here.

Good for Betsy! Locks of Love is a wonderful organization. I've donated a couple of times. A haircut like that takes a lot of getting used to, but it feels so good to know that you've helped another girl who's lost her hair due to illness/chemo/etc.

My girls did this a couple of years ago and what a worthwhile experience! After all, my dh lost his hair from chemo when he was 9-11. I'm sure he would have appreciated hair back then as he used to get laughed at by his schoolmates....

I donated my hair a few years ago when I was in grad school. It was a great experience. I got a wonderful haircut and then played around with dying my new short hair red.
Not sure I'll be able to do it again anytime soon, though. My hair takes too much time to care for when it's short and I'm a bit too busy chasing my baby to deal with it. Some day, though I'd like to do it again.
