I Was Going to Blog ... Then the Baseball-Sized Hail Hit ....

It sounds somehow poetic, but really ... the sky should not be turquoise ....

We think it was baseball size, but it felt like a cannonball on the van.

Anne-with-an-e and Ramona and I were out driving when it hit us. Kind of terrifying.  Betsy was out with a friend, and made it safely to her friend's house.

So thankful those didn't break through the windshield while we were moving.

This one was parked at home.

No one was hurt! So grateful!

Lots of phone calls and scheduling with insurance people the last couple of days.

More soon ....

Err... hail! That's what I get for trying to type a comment on my iPad. :-)

It's actually appropriate, Amber ... we felt like we were in hail jail for awhile there. :)

Oh my gosh! Oh i am so glad you are ok! How terrifying to be out driving in it! It,s bad enough, I always feel, when there is a hailstorm, but at least at home one has the roof ....!!

Thanks for the hugs, Ellie! {{Hugs back.}} :)

Tanita, you've no idea! I've tried to snap a picture that captures the driver's side window -- it is completely free of hail damage, but the super-sized dents all around the window are amazing. I feel like my guardian angel was plastered against the driver's side window....
