Ramona, on regrets

Tonight, after dinner, Atticus began reading To Kill a Mockingbird to Betsy. Anne-with-an-e couldn't resist listening in, as it's one of her favorite books. I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen, and Ramona disappeared. When I was finished in the kitchen, I found Ramona playing with Rush Hour Jr. in the living room.

"C'mon," I said. "Grab that Samantha book and I'll read to you."

"Okay!" she agreed, and skipped happily into my room. As we snuggled up on my bed, she said, "Gee, now I feel kind of bad about hiding Mr. Putter's fake mouse under your pillow."
