Poetry Friday: A little Emily
Today's post will be quick
and without comment
but oh-so-very-Emily.
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
~~ Emily Dickinson
The whole round-up can be found at Becky's Book Reviews today.
P.S. Be sure to go visit Sarah, who is in for the first time this week.

When I was a kid I read this poem thinking I could only do the one thing -- help the robins. And now rereading, I realize I've probably done everything but!
Sigh. This is such a good poem. Thank you.
Oh dear Tadmack - one more quest for you!
This fits so well with Laura's 15 words or less photo for this week!
And think of how many of us fainting people she's helped...
Oh- I love this poem- it hung on my wall as a child!
