In preparation for the 20th anniversary (August, 2008) observance of Pope John Paul II's Apostolic Letter, Mulieris Dignitatum ("The Dignity and Vocation of Women"), the Pontifical Council for the Laity invites North American women to read and study this document in light of the announced theme, "The Dignity of Woman in a Technological and Consumeristic Society."
