It reminds me of something else Ramona said yesterday. I had to scold her for hitting her sister.
"We don't hit people," I admonished.
"But, Mommy," she said plaintively, "what if I literally have to hit them?"
Stifling a laugh (and isn't roughly 85% of good parenting knowing when to stifle a laugh?) I asked, "Now why would you literally have to hit them?"
With a little shake of her head, as if she could not believe her mother hadn't grasped this, she said, "Sometimes they just won't do what I want."
