Go congratulate Nancy Brown -- her book, The Mystery of Harry Potter, is now available! This book addresses the HP series and its themes, and takes a look at the reasons a faithful, orthodox Catholic needn't worry about the content or premise (age-appropriateness is another matter, but that always requires a parent's discernment.)
I can't wait to get my hands on a copy!

Thanks for the tip, Karen - we lov the HP books. Much symbolism there - I am re-reading book 6 now, in preparation for book 7. :-)
