Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh,
Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Oh,
Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Were you there when they pierced him in the side?
Were you there when they pierced him in the side?
Oh,
Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they pierced him in the side?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Oh,
Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?

Karen,
This songs causes me to tremble each time we sing it. I was covered in tears today at Church, again, while singing this. Of course, Behold the Lamb, also gets to me as well. Sometimes I think I am such a wimp, I cry through these things every single time...
I love this season
It causes me to tremble every time, too, K .... I don't think you're a wimp. I think your tears are beautiful.
I love this song and my girls do too. They just asked me to sing it to them and then I came here and...wow.
It's one of my favorites as well, it really brings me to the foot of the cross!
