... you get this:
Me: Ramona, your new penguin calendar looks so nice in your room. I love the pictures!
Ramona: Yeah ....
Me: And the American Girl poster the girls gave you looks really good in here, too.
Ramona: Yeah ....
Me: So, we're done -- your walls have a whole new look.
Ramona, in stunned disbelief: No! We're not done! We need more color! We need texture!

Too funny! My Becky keeps talking about 'makeovers.' As in "Mommy when are we going to do a makeover to my room?" I think this comes from her older brother (11 yo) who loves to watch that Kids Trading Places on the Discovery channel.
That is so funny. I feel the same way after watching those shows.
Oh, no, not TEXTURE! When those home improvement designers want texture they do things like put straw or bamboo on the walls. Maybe she'd settle for a nice tapestry or a painted on velvet picture of Jesus.
Anything to avoid straw and bamboo!
Texture? That is hilarious!
We're going throught the same thing, changing a playroom into a teenager's 'Hawaiian themed oasis'.
So far, it's been fun, and relatively cheap, but if she uses the word 'space' for room once, I quit!
Too funny. I love it!
Leticia, I hope your "space" turns out beautiful and underbudget. ;-)
Ack! No bamboo or straw!! :-) Ramona's idea of texture on the walls might be fuzzy posters ....
