Ramona, on monkey bread

(Or rather, on the frosting:)

While licking the frosting bowl, Ramona said, "Oh, Mommy! I just can't bear stopping eating it!"

Here's the quick Saturday morning recipe.

I know exactly how she feels, but with me it applies to just about everything! :)

I also know how Ramona feels which is why my Saturday morning breakfast was leftover Golden Turnip soup (recipe compliments of the Kitchen Madonna) instead of monkey bread. Not being able to bear stopping eating frosting was (among other things) what got me up to the 190's. I'm being more prudent these days. However, I'm glad Ramona is getting to enjoy Monkey bread and frosting. The soup was pretty good too...

Enjoying my mom's monkey bread with my brothers when I was small is one of my favorite childhood memories. Now, time to hit the kitchen! Happy Sunday, Karen.

Karen, that looks delicious! I'm going to try it and not feel a bit guilty about dumping v. dipping. Whenever fat and sugar are gathered in my kitchen, there is love.

I love that, Nissa!

Kristin, I like to imagine them talking, when they're adults, about how much they loved Saturday morning monkey bread. It's such a great feeling to hope we're creating lasting memories.

Thanks, all of you, for stopping!
