Nancy Brown at Flying Stars has a great post about keeping our priorities straight.
As I wrote in a comment to Nancy, I've often had exactly the same thought about which she posted -- when I first read that Pope B16 wanted to retire, I took a look at all the things I don't *like* to do that God calls me to anyway ... and I have often gone back to that little article I read, remembering that Cardinal Ratzinger was looking forward to "some quiet" ... I've gone back to it on too-busy days, on long nights with vomiting kids, on days when nothing seems to be pleasant ... and I remember that God's plans, no matter how tiring, are the best.
