As we headed to our friends' house yesterday, Ramona, strapped into her carseat, had a fistful of animal crackers in one hand. With the other, she was popping them, one by one, into her mouth and savoring each smackerel as she watched the busy world zoom past her window. She let out a satisfied sigh.
I glanced back, and she smiled at me.
"It's great to have two hands," she said.
