I didn't have a chance to post much yesterday, so I missed mentioning that it was the feast day of St. John of the Cross. I count him, with Teresa of Avila, among my favorite saints. Fr. Thomas Dubay brings both of these saints together in his wonderful book, Fire Within, which is published by Ignatius Press.
Years ago, a friend gave me this book, and I have cherished it since as one of my favorite spiritual reads. It's enlightening, challenging and edifying. If you're looking for something to reignite your prayer life, this is the book.
