It wasn't that his plans became a joke, or irrelevant, it was that they were fulfilled -- consummated? -- in a unique way.

Karen, like your life, mine has been so full of unexpected, grace-filled twists and turns that I can relate to everything you say. I'm interested in reading the next post, since it sounds like you have more to say on this.Willahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17374272000644968446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17019672.post-88346884013770854152007-07-04T15:19:00.000-05:002007-07-04T15:19:00.000-05:00I just stumbled onto this blog...it's so nice to p...I just stumbled onto this blog...it's so nice to periodically be reminded of the oh-so-many others who kind of stumble thru and bounce into God's grace...without a five-year plan!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17019672.post-82338195962396472682007-07-04T08:37:00.000-05:002007-07-04T08:37:00.000-05:00Jennifer, I almost spit out my coffee when I read ...Jennifer, I almost spit out my coffee when I read that you were out of coffee! :-o You can actually rebrew, but it will be weak and almost decaffeinated.

I think the point I was leading up to was that I don't have a five year plan! But, as usual, I'm not sure what my point is. :-) I'll get back to you.

Alice, I just adopted your five-year plan. ;-)Karen Edmisten https://www.blogger.com/profile/04446214835142625161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17019672.post-8190780937969802262007-07-04T00:35:00.000-05:002007-07-04T00:35:00.000-05:00Karen, I love this post. Thank you for giving me so much to think about.

BTW, my five year plan is to remain in denial that five years from now my oldest will be ready for college.Alice Guntherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05998555457432426192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17019672.post-11783883850564993272007-07-03T14:12:00.000-05:002007-07-03T14:12:00.000-05:00If I weren't out of coffee right now I would have ...If I weren't out of coffee right now I would have spit it all over my keyboard - so shocked I was when I read your title. I have never given any thought to long term planning, though it sounds like a really good idea. Wow Karen. My afternoon just filled up with a big bunch of thinking. I can't wait to read DETAILS on your own. And if your in the neighborhood, could you bring by some coffee? My car's in the shop. Or can you tell me if I can re-brew the stuff from this morning? Thanks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
