OHHH, she's getting so TALL! No Christmas tree here, not yet. We never put ours up until the day before Christmas. Family traditions are funny things, but this one (of longstanding)seems to dovetail perfectly with the liturgical year. It was, however, passed down from David's parents who were actually simply champion procrastinators. It's ironic that it now has a very different meaning for us.

ReplyDeleteShe is getting tall! But, she's also standing on a chair in this picture.
ReplyDeleteYour tradition is perfect for the liturgical year, Liz. I haven't been able to successfully make that switch, but perhaps one day ....

ReplyDeleteA beautiful photograph, and a beautiful tree!
