(Though actually, if I want to get all serious on you, the fact that it made me laugh makes the one for women all the sadder, as it really points out how hung up we can get on our looks. But I digress. Watch. Laugh.)

No, you weren't the only one, Jenn. Some interesting discussion over at Lissa's about it. It was clearly manipulative, and it's an ad, of course, but what touched me about it was the way it made its point -- it's so easy for us to take negative messages (sometimes even from early childhood) and let them affect us for a very long time.

I'll go check her comments section. I do agree though. I remember my first "diet" - age 5 after overhearing my grandmother call me 'the chubby one'. Ouch.

Yeah, there's plenty about the original that screams "ad" but still a valuable message underneath, I think.
