Poetry Friday: Baby Wrens' Voices

I dare you to not love this poem.

With lines like:

Because I love best those songs
that shake the house of the singer,

how could you not?

And because I love best those poems that pierce, in large ways and small, this week I'm sharing Baby Wrens' Voices, by Thomas R. Smith.

Read it here, at the Poetry Foundation.

The round up this week is at The Cazzy Files.

You were right. I love this poem. Reminds me of the fledglings I saw the other week on our porch roof ledge. SO sweet.

Karen, this is beautiful. Thank you for posting. I especially love "Who hangs our house in the world’s branches, and listens
when we sing from our hunger?"

Can anyone join in posting things for Poetry Friday? I love poetry so much, I've been thinking I might like to try.

Yup, I love this poem! And I followed the link to his other poem on the site, TRUST, and I love it, too!

Thanks for a new poet!

I knew you'd all love it. :)

Beth, yes, anyone can join in! Go to Mary Lee's blog to find the schedule of hosts. It's in the sidebar here.

Each week, after your post is up, just go to the blog of that week's host and leave your link.

If you want to use the Poetry Friday button (which was created by Kim), feel free!
