"Mom, I know why you named him Atticus."

So said Anne-with-an-e the other day.

She is reading To Kill a Mockingbird, which is a wonderful and terrible thing. Wonderful for obvious reasons. Terrible because, after the first reading, one can never experience To Kill a Mockingbird for the first time again.

But, now she knows why I named her father "Atticus" on the blog.

"It's because of the kind of father he is, isn't it? He reminds me of Dad."

Cue the melting heart.
