Our Thanksgiving Tree

It's that time of year. Time to be thankful, time to be crafty.

Time to be craftily thankful. Thankfully crafty.

Thankful that this craft is so easy.

Because, ahem, you know that as much as I love crafts with my kids, it's been a taste I've had to acquire.

Now, on to the Thanksgiving Tree. I first told you about ours here (click through for the easy instructions.) A few other people got excited about the idea, and wanted to make them as well. Cool! Unbelievable! Un-crafty Karen inspires a craft wave! We may be living in an alternate universe!

Okey-doke. so, in this post, I admitted that, amongst crafty mommy bloggers, I felt like "the Kindergartener, proudly showing off her smudgy picture to the kindest of audiences," while "I see all of you as the professionals with graduate degrees in glue guns." But, I swallowed my pride, and I rounded up the other Thanksgiving Tree projects and posted them together here, in this post.

And, recently, Yvonne, from Heart of the Matter Online joined in with her ideas: Encouraging Thankful Hearts. We connected when Yvonne went searching for some pictures of the Thanksgiving Trees of others.

And now, it's time to get Thanksgiving Tree 2008 up on the wall, and start counting our blessings, which are so immense and plentiful that I am often overwhelmed by them.

"Thank you, God, for this good life, and forgive us if we do not love it enough." ~~ Garrison Keillor

Have fun with it! When we're done with ours, we put it up in the mudroom and can be reminded of our November blessings all year. :-)
