Thanks, guys!

A couple of dear online friends have been sending birthday wishes my way, and I just wanted to say thank you!

Which birthday is this, you ask?

Ummm ... I'm on the dark side of the 40's. Today is going to require a lot of chocolate cake.

Happy, happy birthday, Karen! And enjoy the cake!

I'm delighted to know that you and I *almost* share a birthday :). Mine's tomorrow, and I'll be 44 which pleases me because, though I'm not a particularly math-y person, 4 has always been my favorite number and I'm partial to even numbers. Although the celebrations will be rather skimpy because this weekend is the kids' big play, the community production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". So while the kids won't be around much, I do get to go to the theater for my birthday lol. And we're thinking of postponing the rest of the festivities til next weekend, which should give us better Spring weather anyway.

Many happy returns!

Happy Birthday Karen! I got over here from Minnesota Mom's blog and read your 40 reasons to have a child. Fantastic! I'm hoping for number 2 soon :)

Ah, I made a cake and I didn't even know it was your birthday. Wish you could be here to eat some (even if it's nutritious applesauce cake instead of decadent chocolate). I hope someone made you the wonderful Southern pecan cake with the decadent chocolate frosting. That's my favorite birthday cake.

Happy birthday anyway from your friend who will next year face the dark side of something much scarier than 40!
