FreeRice.com

I wish I could remember where I recently heard about FreeRice.com ....

I may have no idea where I heard about it, but I do know that my kids are loving it.

It's a vocabulary quiz and an easy way to donate food to hungry people. The totals are impressive. The way it works is explained here.

The addiction level is high.

So, really, I like you and all, Karen, and I consider you a dear blogging buddy (though I feel like maybe I've been rash in that decision, I refuse to change it, because my heart just feels like it's the right one). However, this is going TOO FAR. To those of us who have a tendency to be addictively attached to our computer monitors, even going so far as to prop the boppy pillow, nurse the baby, AND supervise the mindless watching-of-TV by the toddler, all in the name of more computer time, well, this site is NOT such a good thing.

But when my kids get older and figure out how to pry the keyboard from my clutching fingers, they'll love it. I just know it.
