Bella the Movie

This film looks beautiful and compelling. Unfortunately, it's not opening in Nebraska. I'll have to visit someone out of state. Movie date, anyone? Margaret?

Take a look at the site: Bella the Movie.

Sorry, Matilda, she's all mine! :)

Say the word, Karen, and I'll have your bed ready & the coffee pot on. This movie does look good, doesn't it?

Apparently it's not opening in Vermont either, or in Boston. The closest for us is NYC.

I am dying to see this movie, and have been for a long time! It's playing in Tampa, which is a couple hours away from me...So, forget Matilda, forget Margaret, come to Sunny Florida and we'll take a drive down there together! :-)

Sorry gals, but I have the best option-- drive up here to SD, and we'll drive the 7 mi across the MN border!

It's opening three weeks from tomorrow, please tell your local theatre owners that you want them to show it, remind them that it won the Toronto Film Festival People's Choice Award, from 350 other films, and you expect it to be the sleeper hit this fall.
And don't forget some advice I just got from an ACT ONE workshop; go the first weekend it's out, then you may see it near you!

AMEN, SISTERS! I live on Cape Cod, and noticing that nowhere in New England is this beautiful movie being shown, have been in touch with the production company Metanoia Films who say that we've got to convince their distribution company that the movie will "fly" here in the frozen Northeast.

Dear Liz in Vermont - I received word from someone at Metanoia that Bella is supposed to open in two or three venues on Friday this week (Nov. 7) in Boston through private sponsorship.

Otherwise, I have apprised our New England chain of theatres - Entertainment Cinemas - of the movie and they tell me that they will look into it. A local entertainment cinemas manager tells me that this sort of film (art film) has a good track record at their theatres. That's what the distribution company needs to hear to prompt them to release the movie more widely.

Take heart. Keep those requests and prayers coming. Mountains will be moved.

Bella is scheduled to run at Village Picture Shows in Manchester Center, VT beginning Friday, Nov. 16th. I hear it will run in Burlington as well beginning the 16th. I learned this from "Bella"'s mom who owns and runs the moviehouse in Manchester.

It is quite a beautiful movie. I saw it about a month ago and still think about it today ... the kind of movie you just want to tell *everyone* about!

Here's a link to see where it plays by you, and hopefully you'll bring awareness to others =)
