Date Night

We're on a Jane Austen kick.

The latest was Persuasion. Gorgeous. Lush. Romantic. Be prepared for a quiet little movie (Atticus commented that it was, at times, "Jane Austen meets Ingmar Bergman") but, really lovely. If you're husband is up for "lovely" on date night.

Persuasion is my second favorite Jane Austen novel (P&P is my fav.). It is such a beautiful, mature story. I was just watching the film last night too! So lovely!

I love this movie too. I love the lighting in it. I think it looks very realistic. No hollywoodish, perfectly coifed hair. I love the texture of the clothing even.

And Captain Wentworth is so handsome in that long, mud-edged coat!

Persuasion is definitely my favorite Austen novel. And I love the film.

I wish I could get my husband to watch Jane Austen adaptations. Well,I'll just have to wait. In a few years I'll have Bella to watch them with me.

I love that movie, too. But no chance here of watching it with my hubby. Hey, there aren't any Indians in it!

Hmmm, I didn't realize I was in such a minority in having a husband that will watch Jane Austen with me! I'm officially issuing him some bonus points.
