Why am I thinking about dryer lint?

And, worse yet, why am I collecting it?

Oh -- you know why, don't you?

Because you love Lissa, too, and you read all of her blogs every day. And, therefore, you know exactly why I'm collecting dryer lint.

Because my kids are now extremely interested in its many uses, but most of all in the surprising and strange fact that you can make clay out of it. That idea came from another blogger we love: The Amazing Jennifer, the seafaring homeschooler.

It started with this.

Then progressed to this.

And, finally, we moved on to this.

Which, come to think of it, reminds me of the most recent silly kid argument around here. Anyone else have kids fighting over who gets to clean the toilet? We're so not normal.

Fun ideas with lint - we have added bits of coloured lint to our homemade recycled paper.

Do you know that some people (obviously spinning obsessed people who don't have 10 bags of fleece filling every possible space in their houses) actually spin the stuff?

I'm not collecting it, but no I feel guilty for throwing it away. That is something I never expected. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

You are too kind, Karen! I'm eagerly awaiting your post on lint projects too, I think I see a Loveliness of Lint in the future, LOL!

If there isn't, there should be.
