Reading, punctuation, and laughing

Or should that be "Reading punctuation, and laughing"?

If you're Anne-with-an-e and Betsy, it's the latter, thanks to Eats, Shoots & Leaves: Why, Commas Really Do Make a Difference! by Lynne Truss.

I loved Truss's original book, Eats, Shoots and Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation and now, there's a version for my kids. With examples such as "huge, hot dogs" and "slow children crossing" it's sure to elicit fits of giggles. We saw this book at a friend's house, and don't have our own copy yet, but you can bet it's on the acquisitions list.

I found this at the library recently, but we haven't read it yet...thanks for the reminder!

btw, we are in the midst of Understood Betsy---thanks to the recommendations of you and Lissa---and are thoroughly enjoying it. Amazing how it portrays my ideals of how children should be raised. Too bad she had to go live with the Putneys.

(okay, that is my weak attempt at humor---please don't start calling me Aunt Frances)

Thank you Karen,
I was hoping to someday find another book that would leave me in stitches as the original Eats, Shoots and Leaves did. Now my kids can share in the joy.

It's definitely a great book.

Diane, I wouldn't dream of accusing you of being an Aunt Frances. :-) So glad you're enjoying Betsy!
