Yesterday's Word of the Day was Yesterday

We're not currently immersed in a foreign language (unless you count teaching the cat to read Latin.) Although last year I was blessed with an amazing Spanish teacher for the kids, alas, this year she is moving away.

Currently, "language light" is part of our homeschool. Travlang is a travel and language resource website, and they have a really fun mailing list. You can receive an email with the word of the day in up to 80 different languages.

Here's yesterday's word, "yesterday" in the 11 languages we receive:

Arabic: Amis
French: Hier
German: gestern
Greek: Hte's
Italian: Ieri
Japanese: Kinou
Latin: Heri
Mandarin: zúo tian-.
Romanian: Ieri
Spanish: ayer
Swedish: igår

The emails include audio links to click on (for most words) so that you can hear the proper pronunciation.

Have fun!
